VILNIUS, Feb 8 (LETA) - NATO has extended the alliance's patrol of Baltic airspace until 2018, Lithuanian Radio reported on Wednesday. The current mandate of the patrol mission is in force until the end of 2014. NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen is satisfied with the decision made by the alliance. ''This mission confirms the alliance's commitment towards collective defense and solidarity,'' Rasmussen emphasized. NATO has patrolled Baltic airspace since Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia joined the alliance in 2004. LETA
