Private individual now largest tax debtor with a debt of LVL 13.55 million

RIGA, Sept 23 (LETA) - At the moment, private individual Jevgenijs Jakovlevs is the largest tax debtor among legal entities and private individuals with tax debts in excess of LVL 300,000: Jakovlevs' total debt is LVL 13.55 million, according to the Revenue Service's website. According to data available from "Firmas.lv", Jakovlevs is the owner of housing management company "Namu parvalde "Maskavas"", registered in 2006, he is also a member of the company's board. Before that, Jakovlevs was the owner of several other companies.

The second largest tax debtor is company "Metalex" with a tax debt of LVL 2.96 million, followed by company "Koltex" with a debt of LVL 2.77 million.

Overall, 36 companies and private individuals had tax debts in excess of LVL 1 million at the beginning of September.

The total amount of debts by the 100 largest tax debtors was LVL 113.57 million as of September 1.
